What a service usually includes
Cleaning or replacing filters, cleaning the indoor coil and fan, clearing the drain line, checking the outdoor unit, testing electrical connections and checking the system is cooling as it should. Ask the technician exactly what their service covers.
Cleaning filters yourself
Most split system filters can be removed, rinsed under the tap and left to dry in the shade. Check your owner's manual first. A full clean of the coils and fan should be left to a technician.
